When burial arrangements are not made ahead of time and the wishes of the deceased are not expressed, families often are forced to rush into decisions complicated by grief, stress and confusion. By using foresight to select a burial lot or cremation niche or crypt in advance, the burden of the bereaved is lessened. At Cypress Hills Cemetery, our role is to provide guidance and counsel with compassion and consideration.

Garden Niches and Crypts

Our Melrose Memorial Garden complete with Crypts and Niches and will be completed by June of 2008. It will have 660 Single Crypts, 180 Twin Crypts and 336 Tandem Crypts. Featuring an indoor chapel and covered walkways, the above ground niches are made of beautiful and protective granite. For those wishing to honor their loved ones' memories in the private chapel, we offer 30 Single Crypts, 40 Twin Crypts, and 60 Niches with bronze and etched glass fronts.

 

Cremated Remains

Our Urn Garden is available for in ground burial of cremated remains. Our Urn Garden was designed and cultivated especially for in ground burial of cremation burials. It provides visitors with a peaceful setting to remember their loved ones.

 

 

Above Ground Cremated Remains

For those preferring an above ground burial of their loved ones' cremated remains our two mausoleums, Memorial Abbey and Cypress Hills Abbey, are available. Each Abbey offers a beautiful, uplifting setting for the inurnment of cremated remains. The niches accommodate a wide variety of urns and are made with high quality marble.

 

 

 

In Ground Burials:

In ground burials may have a Flat Marker with a capacity for two in ground burials. The measurements for a flat marker is 1' x 2' x 0.6"

 

 

 

In ground burials may with a capacity for three in ground burials may have an Upright Markers . The measurements of this stone is 2.6" x 1.10' x 0.8"
