Edwin R. Woodriffe was born in Brooklyn in 1941.  After graduating from

Fordham University and working in the Treasury Department,

he went on to accept a position with the FBI as a Special Agent.

Tragically, on January 8th, 1969, Special Agent Woodriffe and his partner,

Anthony Palmisano were shot and killed by an escaped prisoner.

Today, we honor Edwin R. Woodriffe for his heroism and sacrifice.
